In roughly two months I pick up my life and move to Nicaragua. I am more than excited to go to the place I have always felt was "home". However, two months means that I am realizing how much I am going to miss Omaha, my family, and my friends. I have twenty two years of memories invested here. That will be hard to leave behind.
Here's a snapshot of what the next two months look like as I prepare to leave:
- Lists - What to pack, what still needs to be done, what supplies to buy for my classroom...
- Paperwork - Working on Nicaraguan residency and details with my sending organization, Commission to Every Nation.
- Raising support
- Enjoying time with my family and friends
- Summer reading!
- Soaking in last minute advice about how to survive my first year of teaching
- Attending a three day CTEN orientation in Texas in June
Love you all! I'll do my best to keep you updated.
Laura
